We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who love working with kids and are not afraid to get wet! Under the direction and supervision of the Management Team, Lifeguards and Swim Instructors will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have a safe, enjoyable, swimming experience while at our facilities. Duties could include but are not limited to:

• Enforcing pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment for all guests while remaining alert and professional.
• Ensure that all work performed is under safety standards outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety manual and that pursuant regulations are adhered to, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes and work cooperatively towards an efficient and effective work environment.
• As part of a team, respond quickly and appropriately in an emergency by administering first aid when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe pool environment, including testing and treating water for quality and ensuring the proper use of equipment.
• Effectively communicate with guests and other staff members to provide excellent customer service.
• Work as part of a team, follow directions and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Deliver high-quality aquatic programs such as swimming lessons and special events.
• Developing lesson plans to meet the needs of individual students or groups.
• Communicating with parents or guardians about student progress and areas for improvement.
• Maintaining a safe and welcoming learning environment for all students.

The following certifications are required:

• National Lifeguard – Pool
• Swim Instructor
• Intermediate (Standard) First Aid and CPR-C with AED

Wage to be determined based on experience and certifications. Employment includes a facility membership, and opportunities for additional training and education. The successful candidates must be a minimum of 15 years of age and will require a Criminal Record Check and Working with Vulnerable Persons search prior to commencing work and must maintain a clean Criminal Record to remain on staff.
