Concession Worker (Part-Time)

The Concession Cook Under the direction and supervision of the Concession Coordinator and Assistant General Manager, the Concession Cook will be responsible for preparing menu items and customer services of the Thunderchild Wellness Centre’s concession. The right candidate will possess the beliefs of our 7 Unifying Principles; genuine respect, absolute trustworthiness, collaborative teamwork, open and transparent communication, perpetual growth, earnest reverence and joyful humor and goodwill.

The following experience & knowledge are an asset:

• 2-3 years of relevant cooking/restaurant experience
• Certified in Safe food handing
• WHMIS & First Aid training provided

Ability to:

• Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts;
• Cook a variety of healthy and typical Arena foods;
• Work with other team members to build a meal program for the youth;
• Do physical work involving bending lifting and moving of heavy or light objects;
• Frequent periods of standing are required;
• Keep a clean, sanitized and organized workspace;
• Provide set up for special events;
• Work cooperatively with other employees and the public;
• Operate Point of Sale System efficiently;
• Multitask to meet priorities and deadlines; and
• Complete duties in a safe manner, following established safety rules and regulations.

Essential Functions:

• Cook a variety of food items;
• Ensure concession is always clean and sanitized;
• Ensure that all work performed is in accordance with safety standards set forth in Worksafe Saskatchewan occupational health & safety manual and that pursuant to regulations are adhered to;
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes and work cooperatively towards an efficient and effective work environment;
• Submit copies of their timesheets and menus to Assistant General Manager;
• Complete daily close outs and reconcile daily sales;

Wage to be determined based on experience and certifications. The successful candidates will require a Criminal Record Check and Working with Vulnerable Persons search prior to commencing work and must maintain a clean Criminal Record to remain on staff.
