JOB TITLE: Full Time/Part Time (Lifeguard/Swim Instructor)

LOCATION:  Harris Road Outdoor Pool Pitt Meadows 

HOURS OF WORK week days including evenings and weekends.

SALARY: to be determined based on knowledge, skills and relevant experience. Employment includes facility membership.



OVERVIEW: Looking for a FUN, rewarding job?  Recreation Excellence is currently seeking energetic Aquatic Shift Supervisor. This exciting leadership position offers a flexible schedule for high school and university students.

Responsibilities:

  • Have an excellent Sense of Humour to ensure that your work place is exciting and fun!
  • Ensure client safety and enforce pool rules while remaining alert and professional
  • Deliver high quality, aquatic programs such as swimming lessons and special events
  • Prevent and respond to emergencies
  • Perform routine water tests 
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Work as part of a team and can follow directions and work with minimal supervision
  • Must be motivated and adaptive
  • Possess strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • National Lifeguard – Pool Option
  • Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
  • Standard First Aid and CPR “C “ with AED
  • Pool Operators Level 1
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Available to work evenings and weekends

The following would be an asset:

  • Lifesaving Instructor
  • First Aid Instructor
  • Aqua-Fit Instructor
  • Pool Operators Level 1
  • OFA Level 1
